Projects
The Projects product in GEP QUANTUM helps you achieve goals like reducing product costs, improving delivery performance, and increasing stakeholder satisfaction. Moreover, with the fully configurable, rules-based approval workflows and the ability to capture and track data points unique to your organization, Projects ensures collaboration and synergy between your procurement and finance teams.
In this release, 06 features/enhancements have been added to Projects.
Introducing Favourite Supplier Field

With this release, a new filter field, Favourite Supplier, is introduced on the Supplier - Add from Repository page for both Project Request and Project documents.
Automate Savings Capture Based on Awarded RFX Line
PROJECT-307129 | Configurable: Yes (Global Codes and State Machine)
With this release, once Project line items are flipped or linked into an RFx and awarded, the awarded and negotiated prices are automatically updated in the Project’s Projected Savings grid. This automation eliminates manual effort and ensures consistent alignment between the RFx and the Project’s line-item values.

Updated Title and Description for Existing Config : The title and description of the existing configuration are updated:

Tcos Project Rfx Field Mapper is renamed Project-RFX Field Mapper for Automated Savings Capture.

Updated Description: This configuration allows the user to define the RFX source fields to be mapped to the destination fields in Project's Savings grid, such that the data is auto-fetched from RFX document into Project's Savings grid.
Global Code: A new column, Default to PO for RFx Savings Automation, is added to the PPST-ProjectTypeMaster global code. When set to Yes, the corresponding Project Type will have its Default PO Nature set to Yes, enabling automation to capture RFx Savings.
State Machine: Use the Modify To button in the State Machine to specify whether a project type is limited to PO or non-PO or supports both.
Enhanced Handling of Savings Upon Timeline Changes

With this release, if the Savings period timelines are modified and you opt to retain the savings, they will be either:

Retained for the existing period

Adjusted based on the new timeline changes

Moved into a new savings scope aligned with the newly defined months
If you choose not to retain the savings, all previously captured savings are lost.

Enhanced Export Status Notification Across Tabs

With this release, when you click Export from the More dropdown, a blue ribbon of Export in Progress and a green ribbon of Export Completed Successfully are displayed below all the header tabs. These notifications appear consistently across all tabs in Project, Milestones and Activities, or Spend and Savings, and will display regardless of the export download option you select. If you click the X (close) button on the ribbon in any tab, it automatically dismisses it across all other tabs.
Enhanced Visibility of Attachments on Project Status Change

With this release, the following enhancements are implemented to improve the visibility of attachments:

When a Project Request's status is changed to Completed, Cancelled, or Reopened and an attachment is uploaded, the attachment(s) along with their comments are displayed in a tabular panel that includes:

Reason Type - Completed/Cancelled/Validated

The Reason

Added by and Added on (timestamp)

Attachments column

The uploaded attachments are visible, downloadable, and easily accessible from the Comments field.

You can hover the text-wrapped comment to read the full comment, or you can expand the width of the column.

Attachments are hyperlinked and directly downloaded as a zip file.

The table displays only the latest comment for each Reason Type.
Introducing DAC Policy to Fetch Documents

With this release, DAC (Data Access Control) policies are defined to support GDPR compliance by enabling the retrieval of both active and inactive documents across a domain. This allows the Platform team to efficiently fetch a comprehensive list of documents and export them via the Bulk Utility.
